There are also third-party services that will integrate with blogger from a cell phone. One of them that he could use is www.shozu.com, if Ryan's phone is one of the hundreds of models that is supported.
There's also www.jott.com which is an amazing service that would let him actually speak his message, and it will convert his voice into text and post it as a blogger update.
I just saw him today, just East of Wichita on highway 254. He was grateful that I didn't call the cops and instead asked if he needed anything! Ryan, I hope you enjoyed the chocolate bar, I wish I had more to give you! I wish you more luck with the next gas station! ~Army chick in the Ford, aka "Ingrid". :P
It's really too bad that Ryan isn't documenting this journey in any way via blog updates. If he doesn't want to, then fine, but if he wants to and just can't because of technical issues, that's a real shame. There are so many ways to blog from a cell phone. Hundreds. He could even have someone set up a blog for him, receive his posts by text message, then manually cut/paste them in. I would do that for him.

He is Ok and has made it to Kansas. He crossed the border from Colorado 2 days ago. He is having a good trip and seems more relaxed than before.
